The SHS 200 is compatible with different size of batteries (up to 12V/160Ah) and solar panels (up to 200Wp). End-users can progressively increase their power subscription according to their needs and budget. With eleven DC load outputs, the SHS 200 can be connected to a variety of household appliances such LED lighting, phone charging, fans, TVs and a fridge. This solution is also powerful enough for entrepreneurial customers to run a small business.
The SHS 200 is primarily designed for Pay-as-you-go (PAYGo) operations. It is compatible with various PAYGo software platforms and includes a keypad for offline activation. How does it work? PAYGo operators usually offer solar home systems to their customers through a rent-to-own plan on prepayments. Customers can get a SHS 200 against a deposit. Then they make regular payments by mobile money over few months or years to finally own the unit. A recharge code is sent to their cell phone by SMS after each payment. The SHS 200 becomes active only when the code is pressed on its keypad. PAYGo operators can achieve profitability while off-grid populations afford reliable and clean energy.
By using Maximum Power Point Tracking (MPPT) technology, the SHS 200 ensures that every drop of available power is rinsed out of the panels and harvested for storage. Additionally smart multi-stage charging and load disconnect features maintain the health and extends the life of the battery. The SHS 200 is compatible with lead-acid and lithium battery technologies (Victron SuperPack).
